As the Stormers prepare to bid farewell to utility back Dillyn Leyds, it's perhaps fitting to revisit one of the all-time greatest passes ever thrown at Newlands.

Ironically, not only is Leyds leaving the Cape, the Stormers may well have already played their final match at their hallowed Newlands as the stadium is set to be demolished in the coming months as the team moves headquarters to the Cape Town Stadium.
Stormers coach John Dobson confirmed on Tuesday that the 27-year-old Bishops Old Boy - Leyds, not Dobson who also happens to be a Diocesan College alumni - would be furthering his career at La Rochelle in France.
Apart from a one-year stint at the Western Force in 2014, it brings and end to a lengthy association Leyds has had in the Cape, having represented the Ikey Tigers in the Varsity Cup, Western Province and the Stormers.
Equally adept at fullback, wing and flyhalf, Leyds also has 10 Springboks caps to his name.
But it was perhaps his hallelujah final pass off the ground that set SP Marais on his way to the tryline against the Chiefs back in 2017 that many will best remember him for in a Stormers jersey.
