Waratahs No 8 out of Cheetahs duel

Cape Town - The Waratahs have suffered late injury blows as they prepare to host the Cheetahs in a Super Rugby clash in Sydney on Saturday.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, No 8 Jed Holloway has been ruled out after injuring his shoulder in training.

His replacement is yet to be named but Wycliff Palu is likely to move up from the bench and wear the No 8 jersey.

There is also concern around hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau, who also injured his shoulder.

The Waratahs say Polota-Nau is still a good chance to play, while there is also some concern around wing Reece Robinson, who despite training all week has a shoulder niggle and is no certainty to take the field.

If Robinson is deemed unfit, Matt Carraro appears his likely replacement.

Saturday’s clash in Sydney is scheduled for 11:45 (SA time).
