Van der Walt out of Lions clash

Cape Town - Sharks loose forward Philip van der Walt will miss their clash against the Lions due to a neck injury.

Van der Walt sustained the injury in the Sharks' last match against the Crusaders in Durban on March 26.

In some good news for the Durbanites, lock Etienne Oosthuizen and wing Lwazi Mvovo have recovered from the knocks they took and are available for selection.

Daniel du Preez also suffered a niggle but is ready for action and likely to replace van der Walt.

Saturday’s clash against the Lions at Kings Park is scheduled for 17:05.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
