Cape Town - Lions coach Swys de Bruin has sprung a surprise by naming Franco Mostert at No 7 for their clash against the Bulls this weekend.
Mostert, who started at lock against the Jaguares, moves to the side of the scrum, with Cyle Brink moving to No 6, replacing Kwagga Smith who is not available for selection.
Martin Orrie will start at lock.
In the backs, Rohan Janse van Rensburg replaces Harold Vorster at inside centre.
Both Marnus Schoeman and Madosh Tambwe were named among the replacements with Howard Mnisi and Hacjivah Dayimani dropping out of the squad.
De Bruin said his team were awaiting the derby match in anticipation.
"We are really looking forward to the challenge and we are preparing well," said De Bruyn.
Kick-off at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday is at 17:15.
