Sunwolves call on SA-born lock for Lions clash

Cape Town - South African lock Grant Hattingh has been called into the Sunwolves starting XV for Saturday’s Super Rugby encounter against the Lions in Singapore.

Hattingh’s inclusion is one of six changes to the Sunwolves’ starting line-up from the one which lost 34-31 to the Reds in Tokyo last weekend.

There are three changes to the pack and three to the backline.

Hattingh replaces Uwe Helu in the second row, while props Jiwon Koo and Masataka Mikami come in for Hiroshi Yamashita and Pauliasi Manu respectively.

In the backline, Ryohei Yamanaka starts at fullback, with Jason Emery shifting to outside centre in place of Sione Teaupa. Harumichi Tatekawa starts at inside centre ahead of Jason Little and Semisi Masirewa takes over from Hosea Saumaki on the left wing.

Hooker Nathan Vella, prop Alex Woonton and scrumhalf Fumiaki Tanaka are the new additions to the bench.

Kick-off for Saturday’s clash is scheduled for 12:55 (SA time).
