Cape Town - Rudolf Straeuli is being linked with the Bulls CEO position.
According to Netwerk24, Straeuli’s name is on the shortlist for the position to be vacated by Barend van Graan at the end of January next year.
Straeuli, who is the current CEO of the Lions, was quoted over the weekend as saying he did not apply for the Bulls CEO position, but the understanding is that the former Springbok coach has now thrown his name into the had after being approached by the Bulls.
The Afrikaans publication added that interviews with candidates who made the shortlist for the Bulls CEO position will he held in Sandton on Tuesday.
The Bulls, meanwhile, are also on the hunt for a new head coach after the departure of John Mitchell last week.
Mitchell will join England as their new defence coach.
The New Zealander’s tenure at the Bulls came to a premature end as his contract was due to only expire at the end of October 2019. He had a torrid first Super Rugby season in charge of the Bulls, winning just six of 16 games to finish bottom on the South African Conference.
