Stormers set for trophy handover

Cape Town - They may not be considered serious title challengers in Super Rugby this season, but the Stormers will be winning a trophy at Newlands on Saturday.

Vodacom and SA Rugby will hand over the Africa 1 Conference trophy to Robbie Fleck and his men after their clash against the Southern Kings.

The Cape Town franchise has already secured top spot in the Conference ahead of the Bulls, Cheetahs and Sunwolves.

Winning two matches on the trot in Australia confirmed their status as one of the tournament's quarter-final hosts. 

The Stormers are no strangers to Conference success, having won three of the last five South African Conferences before the tournament expanded to 18 teams. 

This is the final round of fixtures before the tournament playoffs. 

The Stormers are guaranteed to host a New Zealand franchise in the quarters.
