Stormers agree to off-load Duvenage

Cape Town - Stormers scrumhalf Dewaldt Duvenage is set to leave the Stormers at the end of Super Rugby season.

Afrikaans website Netwerk24 reported on Sunday that Duvenage has signed a deal with Italian club Benetton.

Former Boland and Bulls utility back Marius Goosen is the current director of rugby at the Treviso-based club.

It will be the 29-year-old Duvenage’s second stint in Europe after he left the Stormers in 2013 to join French club Perpignan before returning to the Cape in 2016.

The Stormers, currently bottom of the South African Super Rugby Conference, host the Rebels in their next match on Friday, April 27 at 15:05.
