Sonny Bill a father to his first son!

Cape Town - Star All Blacks midfielder Sonny Bill Williams has become a father for the third time following the birth of his first son, Zaid Williams.

According to the Stuff website, Williams, 32, and his wife, Alana, already have two daughters - Imaan who was born in 2014 and their second daughter, Aisha, in 2016.

Williams announced the birth on his social media pages on Friday.

Williams returned from knee surgery in the third Test against France in Dunedin last Saturday, but suffered a shoulder injury in the All Blacks' 49-14 victory.

As a result he is missing from the Blues squad that faces the Reds at Eden Park on Friday as Super Rugby starts again following the three-week international window.
