Sharks name squad for Australasian tour

Cape Town - Sharks head coach Sean Everitt has named a 27-man squad that will depart for Australasia on their four-match Super Rugby tour.

The Sharks will take on the Highlanders (Friday, February 7 at 08:05 SA time) and Hurricanes (Saturday, February 15 at 08:05 SA time) on their New Zealand leg, followed by matches in Australia against the Rebels (Saturday, February 22 at 05:45 SA time) and the Reds (Saturday, February 29 at 10:15).

Everitt has named 11 backs and 16 forwards in the touring squad and will take the same 23-man matchday squad that beat the Bulls 23-15 in their tournament opener, along with four more players - three forwards and one back.

Those extra players are new wing recruit from the Lions, Madosh Tambwe, along with former Under-19 and junior Springbok captain, loose forward Phepsi Buthelezi, together with front rowers Majola Mzamo and Dylan Richardson.
