Sharks name 28-man squad for clash against Stormers

Cape Town - The Sharks have named a 28-man squad for their Superhero Sunday clash against the Stormers this weekend.

A host of big names have been included in the team including the likes of Springbok Rugby World Cup heroes Lukhanyo Am and Makazole Mapimpi as well as new signings Ox Nche and Madosh Tambwe.

Sharks head coach Shaun Everitt said his side were looking forward to the clash and was sure the returning Springboks would help lift the standard of the team.

“We are on track and pleased with where we are at the moment,” said Everitt.

“The new things we introduced in the off-season came through in the match against Russia, we just need to polish that up a bit. We also expect the returning Springboks to lift the standard, they’ve come to training with a fantastic attitude and they’re keen to get going. The World Cup finished in November and they’re excited about playing again and to show why they are world cup champions."

The match kicks off at 13:00.
