Schickerling, Van Dyk join Stormers in NZ

Cape Town - Lock JD Schickerling and loose forward Kobus van Dyk will join the Stormers in New Zealand as injury cover.

Both Dan du Plessis and Cobus Wiese are on their way home due to shoulder injuries sustained against the Crusaders in Christchurch on Saturday and will be surgically assessed in Cape Town.

The other casualty from Christchurch was lock Chris van Zyl who has been ruled out for a week with concussion.

Schickerling and Van Dyk, who both made their Vodacom Super Rugby debuts for the Stormers in 2016, will join the team in Dunedin where they are preparing for their clash with the Highlanders on Friday.

Kick-off is at 09:35.

Schickerling is returning from a minor ankle injury, while Van Dyk has starred for Maties in the Varsity Cup this year.
