SBW to fight rugby league star

Cape Town - All Blacks star Sonny Bill Williams will return to the squared circle for the first time in nearly three years.

Williams, currently banned after a red card in the second Test against the British & Irish Lions, will enter the ring for a highly-anticipated bout with rugby league player Paul Gallen.

Williams’ promoter Khoder Nasser has confirmed to the Sydney Morning Herald that the two camps have agreed to a fight with the only stumbling block that remains deciding where it will be staged.

Gallen is the captain of NRL side Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks and has 32 caps for the Australian rugby league side. He also boasts an impressive record as a boxer with seven wins from seven attempts, four of which came via knockout.

Coincidently, Williams is also undefeated in seven fights, three by way of knockout.
