South African wing Kobus van Wyk says he's enjoying his stay at the Hurricanes and is eager to remain at the Kiwi outfit.

After recovering from a pre-season injury, Van Wyk scored a hat-trick on debut for the Hurricanes against the Sunwolves in Napier in late February.
The former Stormers and Sharks flyer is back in training with the 'Canes ahead of Super Rugby Aotearoa, which kicks off on 13 June.
The 28-year-old told New Zealand's Super Rugby website that he was keen on a contract extension at the Wellington-based franchise.
"I'm feeling right at home with the boys. It had been an awesome few months leading up to Covid-19, so I think my agent and the Hurricanes are busy with the contract for next year and maybe a two-year deal, so I'm just waiting on that. In another week or two we'll sort that out," he said.
Van Wyk also revealed that former Sharks and Hurricanes coach John Plumtree had influenced his decision to move to New Zealand.
He said while Plumtree is now tied up with the All Blacks, they've still kept in touch.
"We still keep in contact. He comes around with his bike when he gets bored at home to have a coffee. He’s a good guy."
Van Wyk, who lives in Wellington with his wife June and two-year-old son Elijah, said it had been tough to be away from his parents over the past couple of months.
"It's hard because you can't do anything back home for them, so if anything goes wrong on that side you can't even go and support them. I've been in contact with them basically every day and I am missing them."
Van Wyk played for the Stormers between 2013 and 2016 and represented the Sharks between 207 and 2019. He also represented French club Bordeaux Begles as a medical joker in 2016.
A medical joker is a common term in French rugby for a player who joins a club as an injury replacement on a short-term basis.
