Rebels run riot in thrashing Brumbies

Cape Town - The Rebels have continued their fine start to the 2018 Super Rugby season with victory over the Brumbies in their all-Australian clash in Melbourne on Friday.

As it happened: Rebels v Brumbies

The Rebels won 33-10 after leading 14-5 at half-time.

Reece Hodge scored two tries for the hosts - one in each half - as the rebels secured their third win in as many weeks.

Amaki Mafi, Jack Maddocks and Michael Ruru scored the other tries for the Rebels, who also managed to secure a valuable bonus point.

The Brumbies, flat on the day and now without a win in two, scored their tries through Chance Peni and Henry Speight.

In next weekend's Round 5 action, the Rebels travel to Sydney to play the Waratahs (Sunday, March 18 at 07:05 SA time), while the Brumbies host the Sharks in Canberra (Saturday, March 17 at 10:45 SA time).
