Rasta to ref Bulls v Sharks derby at Loftus

Cape Town - Local referee Rasta Rasivhenge will be in charge of Saturday’s South African Super Rugby derby between the Bulls and Sharks at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria (17:15 kick-off).

Rasivhenge will be assisted by compatriots AJ Jacobs and Archie Sehlako, with Marius Jonker the television match official (TMO).

Meanwhile, for the earlier game between the Stormers and Chiefs at Newlands (15:05), New Zealand’s Mike Fraser has been appointed as referee.

Fraser will be assisted by his countryman Nick Briant and South Africa’s Quinton Immelman, with Willie Vos the TMO.

The earlier game between the Lions and Highlanders in Dunedin (09:35 SA time) will be refereed by Australia’s Angus Gardner.

Gardner will be assisted by New Zealanders Brendon Pickerill and James Doleman, with Glenn Newman on TMO duty.

The other South African involvement this weekend sees Jaco Peyper referee the Blues v Hurricanes match in Auckland on Friday (09:35 SA time) and Egon Seconds take charge of the Sunwolves v Reds match in Tokyo on Saturday (05:15 SA time).
