Pollard returns for 'selected' training

Pretoria - The Bulls turned out one of their best performances of the season against the Sharks in Durban this past weekend as they won 30-17, but it came at a cost.

Loose forward Renaldo Bothma fractured his forearm in that match and faces around six weeks out while flyhalf Tony Jantjies also left the field with a rib injury.

Bulls team doctor Herman Rossouw confirmed on Monday that a decision on Jantjies' availability for this Saturday's clash against the Kings at Loftus would only be made later in the week.

The big news coming out of Loftus, though, is that Springbok flyhalf Handre Pollard and wing Jamba Ulengo will return to take part in "selected" training sessions following ankle and knee injuries, respectively.

Travis Ismaiel is also back in training this week.

The other blow for the Bulls came in their SuperSport Challenge match against the Sharks, where loose forward Roelof Smit damaged MCL ligaments. He now faces between six and eight weeks out with the injury.
