Pocock cited for neck grab

Cape Town - Brumbies flank David Pocock has been cited for dangerous play following his side's 48-23 loss at home to the Chiefs on Saturday.

The incident occurred in the 74th minute of the match and went unpunished, but replays revealed that Pocock had grabbed Chiefs No 8 Michael Leitch around the neck at a maul.

Upon review of the match footage, the Citing Commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the red card threshold for foul play.

Pocock's punishment will only be know next week.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
