Oupa Mohoje on comeback trail

Cape Town - The Cheetahs’ Springbok loose forward, Oupa Mohoje, will make his comeback from a knee injury for Free State’s Currie Cup side next week.

The Free State Cheetahs start their campaign against Namibia’s Welwitchias in Bloemfontein next week.

Mohoje, along with prop Danie Minnie, will gradually be re-introduced into the Cheetahs’ Super Rugby squad.

Minnie, who has recovered from an ankle injury, played for Free State against Border in a warm-up match last week.

According to Netwerk24, if the duo can prove their fitness for the Currie Cup side, they could be considered for the Cheetahs’ Super Rugby tour to Australia.

The Cheetahs will play three matches in Australia, starting on April 22 against the Rebels in Melbourne, before matches against the Reds (Brisbane, April 30) and Waratahs (Sydney, May 7).
