Cape Town - Sharks forward Jean Deysel has been signed by Irish club Munster on a three-month loan deal, it was confirmed on Friday.
Deysel, who has played most of his rugby as a loose forward, is expected to be used at lock by Munster following injuries to regular second-rowers Jean Kleyn and Dave Foley.
The Irish Times reports that the move is a done deal, but that Deysel is still awaiting a work permit.
Deysel was named in the Sharks' 45-man Super Rugby squad for 2017, but he has not been needed in any of the Durban franchise's three matches so far.
The 32-year-old has seven Test caps to his name.
The Sharks, meanwhile, are in action when they take on the Kings in Durban on Saturday night. Kick-off is at 19:30.
