Mitchell’s feedback session harsh, but fair - Bulls lock

Cape Town - Bulls lock RG Snyman says they received stern feedback from coach John Mitchell following their 54-24 loss to the Jaguares in Buenos Aires this past weekend.

Mitchell was not happy with his side’s performance and let them know in no uncertain terms when the game was analysed at Loftus Versfeld on Tuesday.

“Yes, it was a tough session. He (Mitchell) was however reasonable in his feedback. We all know it wasn’t our best effort. It’s not the end of the world, but we also understand that we can’t play like that again,” Snyman told Netwerk24.

Mitchell earlier in the week said there were no positives to take from the Jaguares defeat.

“I’m disappointed in the performance in the fact that it is the first time that we have shown softness,” Mitchell told SuperSport.com.

The Bulls host the Brumbies at Loftus Versfeld this Saturday and Snyman said the loss last weekend will not affect their confidence.

“Coach (Mitchell) is brilliant in the way he takes the pressure onto himself and to not allow the players to become anxious. It makes a big difference.”

Saturday’s clash is scheduled for 15:05.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
