“The Brumbies have given me a chance to play Super Rugby
once more and I am aiming to repay their confidence in my abilities by helping
the team towards another Super Rugby title.
“I understand how the Brumbies tick having been there before
and I loved the culture and the family feel of the team and the community. The
Brumbies are a much-respected team and I am looking forward to playing in the
colours once more.”
Brumbies Head Coach Dan McKellar was delighted that the club
had managed to sign McCaffrey for the 2018 campaign.
“Lachlan is a very good player who brings experience of
playing abroad into the environment,” Thomson said. “He is a very skilful
player and a naturally gifted footballer with an excellent offload.
“Having been a part of the Brumbies in 2014 he understands
the ethos of the club. He will bring a wealth of knowledge to the club and,
having played for ourselves the Force and the Waratahs, he is no stranger to
the Super Rugby competition.
“We are looking forward to welcoming him back to our
Brumbies family and to seeing him in our colours once more.”
