Matt Todd returns to terrorise Lions

Cape Town - Crusaders head coach Scott Robertson has made three changes to his starting line-up to take on the Lions in Johannesburg on Sunday.

Kick-off is at 14:30.

There is one change in the forwards and two in the backline from the team that secured a bonus point win over the Bulls in Christchurch last Friday.

Up front, vice-captain Matt Todd returns to the side, and will wear the No 7 jersey, after sitting out last week's match with a rib injury.

At scrumhalf, Bryn Hall and Mitch Drummond will rotate this week so that Hall takes the starting spot and Drummond provides cover off the bench.

In the final change, Seta Tamanivalu also returns and Manasa Mataele moves to the bench.

Veteran flyhalf Mike Delany has recovered from the jarred knee he suffered at training a fortnight ago, and will wear the No 22 jersey this week.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
