Mann-Rea in trouble for Kebble punch

Cape Town - Josh Mann-Rea of the Brumbies will appear before a SANZAAR commission for the red card he received for foul play during a Super Rugby match against the Stormers on Saturday. 

Mann-Rea is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (a) Punching or striking in an incident that occurred in the 63rd minute of the match when he struck Stormers prop Ollie Kebble. 

The Case is to be considered in the first instance by SANZAAR Duty Judicial Officer Chris Morris.

All SANZAAR disciplinary matters are in the first instance referred to a Duty Judicial Officer hearing to provide the option of expediting the judicial process.

For a matter to be dispensed with at this hearing, the person appearing must plead guilty and accept the penalty offered by the DJO.
