A good second half effort from the Bulls, who were blown away in the first period. They showed character to cross the whitewash four times in the second half.

The Stormers will be happy with their first half efforts - especially at scrum time - but the second half was a stark reminder that they also have lots to work on.

Too many handling errors, ill discipline and slipped tackles on both sides.

However, the running rugby on display, especially from the home side, was a welcome sight tonight!

    Siya Kolisi will captain the Stormers, while Juan de Jongh remains injured. This opening game will be a good indication, as to how strong he is as a leader. Other players to watch are Rynhardt Elstadt and Nizaam Carr, who form a deadly combination. The Springboks, Pieter-Steph du Toit and Eben Etzebeth, would also want to continue their dominance in the lineouts.

Pollard was in good form in 2015, before being ruled out due to injury, during the 2016 campaign. If the Bulls want to win tonight, he will have to lead from the front. Jamba Ulengo and Jesse Kriel, are other impact players to keep an eye on.
