An emphatic victory by the Lions. They outscored the Sharks by 5 tries to 2. They blew the visitors out of the water in the first half, running into a 27-0 after 40 minutes.

We are reaching the 60 minute mark in the game and the Sharks have still not scored a single point. Lions have looks strong in defence and brilliant in attack and have dominated most of the game.
Skosan creates the chance with a good turn over as Lions attack again, Lionel Mapoe goes through the defence untouched and makes some quality metres for the hosts.
Lions have managed to keep the momentum going in the second half and Sharks will have to play better if they want to win here.

The Lions have named a strong side for this clash but they will be without their captain, Warren Whiteley. The line-up includes the Springboks Julian Redelinghuys, Franco Mostert, Jaco Kriel, Faf de Klerk, Elton Jantjies, Lionel Mapoe and Ruan Combrinck.
Ackermann will start in place of Whiteley, and is joined in the back-row by Warwick Tecklenburg and Kriel.
Gary Gold has make a few changes to the Sharks. Willie le Roux is out because of an injury, so Odwa Ndungane will start at full-back. Tendai Mtawarira will be the captain, with Garth April at fly-half. Pat Lambie is still under medical observation after his injury when he played against Ireland.
