Full time: Hurricanes 20-3 Lions. Hurricanes win by 17 points and they are the winners of SuperRugby 2016. The Lions could not make use of the possession in the first half and then did not score any points in the second. Big win for the Hurricanes, poor performance by the Lions.
Warwick Tecklenburg concedes a penalty for going off his feet in the ruck. Lions concede another penalty.
Two tries have been scored so far and both of them by the Hurricanes, Lions have not scored any points in the second half.
Hurricanes concede another penalty for being caught offside.
James Marshall goes for the drop goal but misses the kick and the score remains 20-3 to the Hurricanes.
CONVERSION, HURRICANES, BARRETT! 20-3: Beauden Barrett with the conversion, makes no mistake and the lead is 17 points now with 10 minutes remaining.

Lions are controlling the possession now as the game ebbs and flows. They have a lot of possession but need to make it count as Hurricanes have the lead.
PENALTY, HURRICANES, BARRETT! 3-0: Barrett breaks the dead lock with a penalty goal, giving Hurricanes the lead from 22 metres out.
The penalty leads to a drop goal attempt and Beauden Barrett misses to score. It has been a tense game but the score remains at 0-0.

The Lions were controlling the possession but the Hurricanes are slowly gaining control of the game.

History is on the side of the Hurricanes as they have won all the games between these two sides since 2008. But the Lions have played really well to make it to the final and will be a difficult side to beat.

Hurricanes captain Dane Coles will play if he is fit, and that could be the only change to the team from the semi-final. Openside Callum Gibbins, who missed the semi-final win with an Achilles injury, has been bracketed with Tony Lamborn, while prop Reggie Goodes is also bracketed with Mike Kainga.
Warren Whiteley comes back into the Lions starting lineup and Ruan Ackermann and Lourens Erasmus are on the bench. Ross Cronjé is the scrum-half cover for Faf de Klerk.
