Kiwi referee for Sharks v Bulls derby

Cape Town - New Zealand's Mike Fraser will referee Saturday's South African Super Rugby derby between the Sharks and Bulls in Durban.

Kick-off is at 15:05.

Fraser will be assisted by his compatriot Brendon Pickerill and South Africa’s Rasta Rasivhenge, with another South African, Christie du Preez, the television match official (TMO).

Another Kiwi, Nick Briant, will referee the Stormers’ clash against the Blues in Auckland earlier in the day (08:35 SA time).

Briant will be assisted by compatriot Glen Jackson and Argentina’s Federico Anselmi, with New Zealand's Ben Skeen on TMO duty.

Other South African involvement sees Jaco Peyper and Egon Seconds performing assistant referee duties in the Waratahs v Sunwolves match in Newcastle on Friday (10:45 SA time).

AJ Jacobs will referee the Reds v Rebels match in Brisbane on Saturday (10:45 SA time), with Marius van der Westhuizen one of his assistants.
