Kings dominated by rampant Lions

Cape Town - The Lions have comprehensively outplayed the Kings in a Super Rugby encounter in Johannesburg, running out 54-10 winners despite playing with 14 men for over 50 minutes.

The Lions outscored their coastal opponents by eight tries to one with Kwagga Smith (2), Andries Ferreira, Courtnall Skosan, Malcolm Marx, Jacques van Rooyen, Faf De Klerk and Andries Coetzee all crossing for the home side. 

Flyhalf Elton Jantjies and Coetzee added 7 conversions between them while the Kings scored a try through Luzuko Vulindlu, converted by flyhalf Pieter-Steyn de Wet, who also slotted a penalty. 

The Lions lost hooker Robbie Coetzee in the 30th minute of the match when he received a straight red card after his knee connected with Chris Cloete's head as he charged into a ruck.
