Cape Town - Elton Jantjies will not need an operation to correct a wrist injury suffered over the weekend.
The Lions pivot sustained the injury during his side’s 39-22 win over the Cheetahs in Johannesburg.
The news, issued by the Golden Lions Rugby Union in a press release, confirmed that Jantjies consulted with a specialist in Pretoria on Tuesday afternoon and that the injury was not severe as was originally thought.
Indications are that Jantjies should be fit to play as early as 1 April when the Lions face the Crusaders in Johannesburg.
