Jaguares pick team to face Lions

Cape Town - Jaguares coach Gonzalo Quesada has named his team to tackle the Lions in Saturday's Super Rugby encounter in Buenos Aires.

The Argentinians will be captained by inside centre Jeronimo de la Fuente.

"It took us a long time to decide the team that will start on Saturday. The pre-season was very good and there are positions that are very even, so it was difficult to make the decisions," Quesada told the Jaguares' official website.

"Today we feel that this is the best team to play against Lions. Those who are going to enter did not miss any training since we started working on January 3. They had continuity and are doing very well physically and technically."

Saturday's clash is scheduled for 23:40 (SA time).

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
