Cape Town - A Cape Town woman has alleged that All Blacks and Crusaders flyhalf Richie Mo'unga spat beer at her and her friends in a bar in the city earlier this month.
The claim follows accusations on Monday that three Crusaders players made homophobic slurs at a McDonald's outlet in Cape Town last weekend.
According to the Stuff website, the accusation levelled at Mo'unga is said to have taken place at the Arcade Bar on Saturday, May 11 - the day after the Super Rugby champions beat the Bulls 45-13 in Pretoria.
"We got there and we noticed, I was actually telling my friends, these guys they look like New Zealanders, they look like either All Blacks or something," the woman told Radio New Zealand of the incident.
"My friends and I were just standing, talking, and then we just had a lot of beer being spat at us and we looked and then my friend and I were shocked at what was happening.
"I told the guy 'look here, that's not okay, you don't do that'. He just flat out ignored us and walked away. He looked at us with a dead stare and just walked away. He says, 'no, we're sorry, it won't happen again'."
The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, reached out to Mo'unga on social media after realising the player's identity the following day.
Mo'unga apologised to the woman on social media shortly thereafter.
Mo'unga, 24, has played 10 Tests for the All Blacks and is a certainty for the defending champions' 2019 Rugby World Cup squad.
