Cape Town - The Cheetahs are again sweating over the availability of wing Sergeal Petersen.
Petersen, 22, returned to action against the Chiefs last weekend after recovering from a hamstring injury.
It was only his second match of the season after he suffered a knee injury in Round 1 against the Lions.
According to Netwerk24, the hamstring is still giving Petersen problems and he is in doubt for Saturday’s Super Rugby clash against the Bulls in Pretoria.
The Cheetahs are also sweating over the availability of flank Oupa Mohoje, who injured his back in the 41-27 loss to the Chiefs.
Calls will also be made later in the week on flyhalf Niel Marais and prop Ox Nche, who were also injured against the Chiefs.
Marais sustained a hard knock to the knee, while Nche injured his upper leg.
Meanwhile, the Cheetahs are hoping to see the return to action of Springbok flank Uzair Cassiem.
Cassiem, who made his Springbok debut against Wales in Cardiff last year, picked up a knee injury in the Cheetahs’ first match against the Bulls, when the hosts won 34-28 in Bloemfontein on March 4.
He has since missed four matches but is expected to return for Saturday’s return clash at Loftus Versfeld.
The Cheetahs are struggling in this year’s Super Rugby competition and boast only two wins from seven matches.
They are third in Africa Conference 1 and sixth overall in the South African Group.
