Auckland - Blues wing Tevita Li is set to further his career with the Highlanders for the 2017 Super Rugby season.
The 21-year-old has shown plenty of promise since making his Super Rugby debut for the Blues in 2013 and is the team from Auckland's first-choice left wing having scored four tries already this season.
The Highlanders announced the news of Li's recruitment on Twitter.
"The Highlanders are stoked to confirm the @LiTevita will be making the move South in 2017!" they tweeted.
Li, who represented New Zealand at Under-20 level in 2014 and 2015, isn't the first Blues player heading to the Highlanders in recent years.
He will follow in the footsteps of fellow wing Waisake Naholo and centre Malakai Fekitoa who both became All Blacks after moving down south.
The Blues are currently bottom of the New Zealand Conference, despite having won six of their 12 matches to date.
They lie seventh in the Australasian Group and in this weekend's action they will travel to Wellington to face the Hurricanes on Saturday (kick-off at 09:35 SA time).
The Highlanders meanwhile have arrived in South Africa for their next match against the Kings at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth (Saturday at 19:20).
The Highlanders are currently fourth in the New Zealand Conference and fifth in the Australasian Group.
The Highlanders are stoked to confirm the @LiTevita will be making the move South in 2017! #WeAreHighlanders
