Cape Town - Highlanders wing Tevita Nabura will appear before a SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee after receiving a red card for kicking an opponent in their Super Rugby clash against the Waratahs in Sydney on Saturday.
Nabura is alleged to have contravened Law 9.12: Kicking when he made contact with opposite wing Cam Clark at the Allianz Stadium.
The incident took place in the 18th minute and contributed to the Waratahs thrashing their visitors 41-12 - the first Australian victory over their New Zealand counterparts after a staggering 40 consecutive defeats.
The case is to be considered on Sunday, May 20 at 09:00 SA time via video-conference.
All SANZAAR disciplinary matters are in the first instance referred to the Foul Play Review Committee to provide the option of expediting the judicial process.
For a matter to be dispensed with at this hearing, the person appearing must plead guilty and accept the penalty offered by the Foul Play Review Committee.
