Hapless Kings suffer Shark attack

Cape Town - The Sharks have dominated a hapless Southern Kings outfit, running out 53-0 winners in a one-sided Super Rugby encounter at Kings Park in Durban.

As it happened: Sharks v Kings - Durban

The home side immediately began on the offensive, looking to run the ball at every opportunity with captain and flyhalf Pat Lambie pulling the strings.

By half-time they had managed to run in six tries without reply with Lambie, Paul Jordaan (2), Willie le Roux, Andre Esterhuizen and veteran winger JP Pietersen all crossing the whitewash for a 43-0 lead.

The Kings defence stepped up in the second half with the Sharks only managing further tries from Lambie and replacement prop, Thomas du Toit.

Next week the Kings face the Jaguares in Port Elizabeth while the Sharks have a bye.
