Former All Black Jane off to Japan

Wellington - Former All Blacks winger Cory Jane will join the Japanese rugby club Toshiba Brave Lupus on a two-year deal from the end of the Super Rugby season.

The 33-year-old Jane, who played 53 Tests for New Zealand, recently conceded he is unlikely to play international rugby again. He was a member of the All Blacks team which won the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

Jane will be available to play for the Wellington-based Hurricanes in Super Rugby next year while joining former All Blacks teammates Richard Kahui and Liam Messam at the Brave Lupus.

He said he is looking forward to the new culture, and challenge. He said it was that he honored the remaining year on his Hurricanes contract and "doing what was best for my family."
