Johannesburg - Ernie Els has thrown his support behind the Lions ahead of their Super Rugby clash against the Jaguares in Buenos Aires on Saturday.
Calling himself their "biggest supporter", Els posted a video that appeared on the Lions' Twitter page to thank them for their support of his 'Els for Autism' foundation which seeks to facilitate autism education and awareness in South Africa and throughout the world.
The Lions wear blue and white numbers on their backs - the colours of the 'Els for Autism' foundation, which was launched by Els in 2009.
"I just want to once again thank you guys for wearing the blue on your numbers," Els said.
"You cannot believe the job you're doing for us.
"Good luck for the season. You guys have had a great start and I'll be supporting you from afar."
The Lions, who made it through to last year's Super Rugby final, have started the 2017 tournament well with two wins out of two.
Their match against the Jaguares on Saturday kicks off at 21:40.
