Emery apologises to Le Roux after collision

Cape Town - Highlanders centre Jason Emery has apologised to Sharks fullback Willie le Roux after a mid-air collision in their Super Rugby clash in Dunedin on Friday.

In the 12th minute of the match at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Le Roux went up to field an up-and-under and was taken out by Emery.

Le Roux miraculously emerged unscathed after the collision but Emery was shown a red card.

Emery took to Twitter afterwards to apologise to Le Roux, before the Springbok responded by accepting his apology.

Emery will also appear before a SANZAAR hearing after being cited following the match, which the Sharks went on to win 15-14.
