Cape Town - The Sharks are reportedly eager to secure the services of Stormers flyhalf Robert du Preez.
According to Netwerk24, Du Preez signing for the Sharks is “almost a done deal”.
Should the Sharks prove successful in their quest to sign the lanky No 10, he will join up with his dad Robert, coach of the Sharks, as well as brothers Jean-Luc and Dan.
It is believed that there is uncertainty regarding the future of Sharks flyhalf Pat Lambie - who has struggled with concussion in recent times - and should the Springbok pivot opt to retire, Du Preez would be a valuable addition to the Sharks’ flyhalf stocks.
The 23-year-old Du Preez has been on Western Province’s books since 2014, having played his junior rugby at the Sharks.
