Cubelli's knee a concern for Brumbies

Cape Town - The Brumbies are sweating over the fitness of scrumhalf Tomás Cubelli after he suffered a knee injury in a pre-season match on Saturday.

Argentina international Cubelli left the field against the Waratahs after being trapped awkwardly in a tackle.

He received attention from the medical team and will now have a scan to determine the severity of the problem, which will be a nervous wait for head coach Stephen Larkham.

The 'Waratahs won the match 53-17 in Mudgee, with the Brumbies out of sorts ahead of their Super Rugby opener against the Crusaders in Christchurch on February 25.
