According to the Stuff.co.nz website, when the Crusaders named their side for last Friday's 24-20 win over the Reds in Christchurch, Havili was not named but it later emerged he had the surgery on the day of the game.

Havili took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal he was "finally home".

Earlier in the week the Crusaders issued a statement saying Havili was recovering well, but would not be available for "several weeks".

Havili "thanked everyone for the kind messages over the last week" in his social media post.

The Crusaders have travelled to Brisbane to take on the Sunwolves on Saturday (07:35 SA time) in a rescheduled match because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
