Cruden injury concern for All Blacks

Wellington - The All Blacks received another injury concern ahead of their series with the British and Irish Lions when flyhalf Aaron Cruden injured his knee in the Chiefs' win over the Hurricanes on Friday.

Cruden sustained the injury late in the opening half and was replaced at half-time by Shaun Stevenson in his side's 17-14 victory in Wellington.

Chiefs head coach Dave Rennie said it is still unclear how serious Cruden's injury is although that should be known by Sunday when the All Blacks assemble in Auckland.

"I think maybe a medial strain," he told Stuff

"Not sure of the degree of it. Hopefully not too bad."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
