Cape Town - The Sharks on Saturday announced the signing of loose forward Henco Venter from the Cheetahs.
The 27-year-old was part of the Free State Cheetahs winning Currie Cup squad, when the defeated the Golden Lions in the final.
Venter has been a long-time servant of the Cheetahs and has represented the franchise in the Currie Cup, Super Rugby and PRO14.
Venter will join the Sharks family from the start of pre-season.
On Wednesday, the Sharks confirmed the arrival of Lions wing Madosh Tambwe, on Tuesday the capture of Lions loose forward James Venter, on Thursday, Stormers' loose forward Sikhumbuzo Notshe penned a deal and on Friday, Maties flyhalf Jordan Chait signed for the Durban-franchise.
Also rumoured to be heading to Kings Park include Cheetahs prop Ox Nche as well as former Blitzbok standout Werner Kok.
The Sharks kick off their Super Rugby campaign against the Bulls in all-South African derby on Friday, January 31 in Durban (19:10).
