Captain and centre Burger Odendaal complained of a sore ankle afterwards and underwent a scan.

"He does have bruising of his ligaments with a call regarding his availability to be made later this week," the Bulls posted on their official website.

The men from Pretoria are currently languishing in 14th place on the overall standings after three defeats to start the season.

They will be hoping to get on the winning track when they host the Jaguares at Loftus Versfeld this Saturday.

Kick-off is at 17:15.
