Bulls suffer Odendaal blow

Cape Town - Bulls centre Burger Odendaal will be sidelined for about six weeks after undergoing an operation for a quad muscle injury.

According to SuperSport.com, Odendaal was injured in the Bulls’ 23-18 win over the Cheetahs in Pretoria last Saturday.

The injury was deemed so serious that Odendaal was already operated on Sunday to ensure a speedy recovery, the website reports.

With Odendaal sidelined, Jesse Kriel may be forced to move back from fullback to partner Jan Serfontein in midfield.

In their next assignment, the Bulls tackle the Kings in Port Elizabeth on Saturday (19:15 kick-off).
