Bulls seek accuracy ahead of Crusaders clash
Cape Town - The Bulls returned to winning ways with a 28-21 win over the Waratahs at Loftus this past weekend, but they know they will have to be vastly improved for Friday's clash against the Crusaders.
The men from Pretoria are top of the South African conference and well-poised for a run into the tournament playoffs, but they have a tough run-in of fixtures with a four-match Australasian tour still to come before the end of the group stages.
While the win was most important for coach Pote Human on Saturday, he was not overly impressed with what he saw in the second half as the Waratahs clawed their way back into the contest.
"We need to be more patient," the coach said afterwards.
"If we don't take our opportunities against the Crusaders, it's going to be a long evening for us here at Loftus.
"It's going to be a tough challenge, but we know we can be better than this."
Skipper Handre Pollard agreed.
"We weren't accurate enough," he said.
"We created opportunities but you've got to capitalise on them.
"We were lucky to get away with it today, but next week it won't be the same story. We're going to have to be more accurate if we really want to compete in this competition."
