Cape Town - The Bulls were dealt another setback on Monday when it was confirmed that tighthead prop John-Roy Jenkinson would return home from New Zealand.
According to supersport.com, Jenkinson suffered a hamstring injury in Saturday’s 38-14 Super Rugby loss to the Blues in Albany.
Jenkinson had just returned from injury and made his debut against the Blues, but will now return home to undergo treatment, leaving the Bulls to make provisions for his departure.
Jacobie Adriaanse is likely to fill the void in the short-term but no replacement has been called up to date.
The Bulls have endured a torrid start to the season, with three losses and a narrow win over the lowly Sunwolves all they have to show.
The men from Pretoria are already 12 points behind the Stormers in the Africa 1 Conference.
It doesn’t get any easier with a clash against the impressive Chiefs in Hamilton this weekend.
