Pretoria - There is good news for both the Bulls and the Springboks as flyhalf Handre Pollard returns to training this week.
Having missed the entire 2016 season with a knee injury, Pollard has had another nightmare year after he suffered an ankle injury back in April.
It has see him miss the last five Super Rugby matches and, more significantly, it ruled him out of the Springbok mix for the three June Tests against France.
But word from the Bulls camp on Monday was that Pollard is back in training.
With the international break having now begun, Pollard has until June 30 to get fit and ready for the Bulls' clash against the Sharks in Durban.
They then play the Kings at Loftus the following weekend before ending their campaign at home to tjhe Stormers.
If Pollard can get through those matches unscathed, then he will surely be a part of the Springbok set-up when the Rugby Championship kicks off in August.
The Springboks are currently having their depth at flyhalf seriously tested, with Pat Lambie also ruled out of the France series with another concussion.
Lions playmaker Elton Jantjies is the favourite to wear the No 10 jersey against France at Loftus on June 10, while Frans Steyn is another option.
