Blues out-muscle Force in arm-wrestle

Cape Town - The Western Force came back in the second half, but in the end they fell just short as they were edged 17-13 by the Blues in a Super Rugby clash in Perth on Saturday.

The Blues had surged to a 17-3 lead at half time through tries from Jerome Kaino and Tevita Li and at that stage looked set to make it a big victory.

But the Force were gritty in the second half and a try from Matt Hodgson helped them score 10 unanswered points as they got right back into the match.

It made for a blockbuster finish as the Force, 17-13 down, looked for the winner after being camped in Blues territory.

But errors plagued the attacking intent of both sides in the second half, and in the end it was a scrappy victory for the men from Auckland.
